Evidence Collected in December 2020
December 27, 2020 7PM Frank Leann

In the regular audio above, you’ll hear my audio markers that I heard in real time, by me repeating what I heard, then saying “rewind by 5 seconds”. I’m very excited to get “Lawes” in relation to the Powder Magazine. Sir Nicholas Lawes was the person presiding over Anne Bonny’s trial.

Regular Audio marker:

1:34:20 “Lawes”

In the SBox spirit box, these are a few audio pieces I found. This is not an all inclusive list and I encourage you to look for more clues based on the stories I told during your ghost hunt.

  • 00:04 “Finding your way here”
  • 12:15 “predicted”
  • 17:38 “back to normal”
  • 17:42 “20” This was Big John’s jersey number. See link below since this came up twice.
  • 23:37 “21 or older” I told you the story of Big John fighting with some underage cadets from the Citadel.
  • 51:14 “forties”
  • 1:24:21 “protect people”
  • 1:24:42 “independent”
  • 1:24:51 “need a friend”

I feel like all three 1:24:00’s are in direct relation to Anne Bonny and Mary Read, even though there is no verifiable proof of these terms.

In the list below, you’ll find a few highlighted terms and links to verify them. This was an interesting list with data about Charles Cotesworth Pinckney that I was unaware of. Again, I learn new facts about these folks on an nightly basis.

Scanning through the thermal imaging video, I found no odd anomalies or any terms/phrases coming from the non-recordable spirit box. I listened in mostly around the Pinckney Mansion site and the Powder Magazine where I feel we got the most activity from the other devices, but often the spirit box was too far away from the video camera.

Feel free to roam around my website reading about the investigations I’ve done on some of the locations I visited with you and some others from out of state. You can also find the podcast of these blog posts at the top of this page.

Since your ghost hunt was the last of the month, your data will forever remain at the top of this page. Congratulations, there’s no scrolling through to find your date!

In your regular audio, you’ll hear my audio markers and instructions by repeating what I heard in real time from the reverse spirit box and then a “rewind by 5 seconds” immediately after.

I did not see anything out of the ordinary in the thermal imaging video when looking through our hot spots.

There are a few questionable pictures that I’ll have my wife dive into this upcoming week. You’ll see where I “lightened” the picture when I felt like I saw something questionable.

As for your SBox spirit box, here are just a few markers I found. Keep in mind this is not an all inclusive list and you all should have my contact info in the event you find more.

  • 10:02 “confident…that sounds great”
  • 16:15 “8-8-3”
  • 16:19 “give him…he is…even though”
  • 22:38 “dominant one”
  • 22:44 “from heaven”
  • 29:30 “69… their defense”
  • 46:48 “Detroit, remember that”
  • 47:23 “advanced technology”
  • 51:25 “challenging conversation”
  • 51:42 “it’s about Moses” one of the Pinckney’s servants?
  • 56:42 “the city”
  • 1:11:18 “around you”
  • 1:16:04 “practical”

I dove into the “3 years together” that was heard on the spirit box and turns out that Anne Bonny and Mary Read only would’ve known each other about a year. In the event I find any other evidence that proves three years to be a duration, I will update your data.

To check out Rebecca and Simon’s first tour with me and their very compelling evidence, go to September’s evidence page and scroll to 9.18.20.

I left notes in the word list below and as it turns out, my name showing up wasn’t a reference to me personally. Very exciting to have discovered this.

AT the top you’ll find the SITC podcast, where to find my books locally, and of course where to leave reviews. Some of you mentioned wanting copies of my books, and ghost hunters get discounts, so just text me and I’ll set it up. 843.410.8375.

You guys did great with the equipment, so thank you for that! I also appreciate all the questions that were asked, btw, the commentary on the thermal imaging video is great, you all should take a listen.

December 23, 2020 7PM Cheryl Kristin Wendy

Click here to view all photos taken during your ghost hunt.

An anomaly caught in the top right of the green grid pen. Nice catch!

Parties of Cheryl, Kristin and Wendy,

In your regular audio, you’ll hear the reverse spirit box that I was using, the terms/phrases I heard in real time with a “rewind by 5 seconds” audio marker.

In your SBox spirit box recording, here are the few items I found. Keep in mind, that I do not cover all aspects of the data, just the hotspots and some others that I’m still researching like the Powder Magazine. I encourage you to listen to the entire recording to see what you find.

  • 00:02 “try not to be a disaster”
  • 12:42 “no comparison”
  • 13:48 “passed on…you do know somebody”
  • 21:30 “Benjamin” Even though we weren’t quite to Lodge Alley yet, remember that there was a “Benjamin” and “John” that lived there in 1801. See page 19 of this archaeological report.
  • 28:10 “surgery”
  • 28:29 “memorable moments”
  • 48:54 “someone…you loved”
  • 1:17:19 “31”
  • 1:51:14 “in Nevada”
  • 1:52:08 “huge difference”

Kristin sent me this video with some anomalies in Lodge Alley this morning:

IN the list below you’ll see some notes/links to further your research of the locations we visited. Ironically, my name showed up towards the end of the list.

At the top of this page, you’ll find links to the equipment I use (I highly recommend Ghost Stop), where to leave your reviews of the ghost hunt, as well as the podcast. You all did a fantastic job learning about the equipment and making my job easier!

Overall, I’m very excited about the anomaly in the picture that was taken as well as the three terms related to Philadelphia Alley. Be sure to stay in touch with me with the rest of your findings, you can find my contact info at the top of the page. Just be sure to put the date/time of your ghost hunt with me in the subject line so I know which set of data to go through.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your time with me helped make this holiday one to remember.

In your regular audio, you’ll hear the reverse spirit box used in some locations where I’ll repeat what I heard in real time, then say “rewind by 5 seconds.”

For your SBox spirit box, the following terms/phrases were found. This is not an all inclusive list, so feel free to go through the entire recording to see what you hear.

  • 7:58 “mother and child”
  • 13:34 “if he comes back”
  • 13:38 “the other fire”
  • 20:35 “wild” still near the red barn with horses inside.
  • 21:20 “Revelations chapter 20” Not sure how relevant this is, but check out this link.
  • 27:18 “problems”
  • 28:12 “deadly…he didn’t win”
  • 36:03 “pretty girl”
  • 43:12 “a peaceful Christmas”
  • 55:56 “are you sure it’s the right time”
  • 1:02:17 “not perfect”
  • 1:09:38 “tell a story”
  • 1:16:01 “I heard you crying” (song lyric)
  • 1:22:54 “it’s all about”
  • 1:23:01 “location” The irony here is we were talking about the location for a storefront for me, and how it’s all about location.

I left some notes and links in the word list below of terms I felt were relevant to the stories I told last night in or near the location. There is plenty to read in these links to verify the paranormal activity that was around us last night.

At the top of this page, you’ll find the SITC podcast with various locations including some in Savannah, like the Foley House Inn and the Sorrel Weed House. You’ll also find where to leave reviews as well as links to the devices and apps that I use on my tours.

December 20, 2020 7PM Amanda Andrew

Amanda, Andrew, Annabelle and Joseph,

In the regular audio, you’ll hear the reverse spirit box, what I heard in real time, with a “rewind by 5 seconds” immediately after.

In your SBox spirit box, I found the following markers. This is not everything in the recording, just a few hot spots along our route. Feel free to go through the entire thing, writing down everything you hear and looking for messages and clues to the stories I told.

  • 9:52 “things you can handle”
  • 10:52 “Late 73”
  • 24:38 “big red” what color is the barn? This is also known as “The Big Red Barn”
  • 46:56 “under the Christmas” Kind of a stretch, but Eliza PInckney’s birthday is December 22.
  • 50:48 “how’d you feel about”
  • 1:00:00 “other things we gotta see”
  • 1:18:35 “wait for his death”
  • 1:24:31 “four”
  • 1:24:17 “bottles”
  • 1:26:20 “he has been taught to”
  • 1:26:47 “human spirit”

In the list below are a few surprises we didn’t catch in real time. It’s always nice to see this data as a collective as I recall where we were and when and find hidden gems. I left some notes and links below.

At the top of this page you’ll find all my contact info, the SITC podcast (which is on every platform), where to leave reviews (since they are my best friend and keep me working) and where to find my books locally. Just an FYI, they are NOT for under age 17. You’ll also find links to the devices and apps that we used along with a few other devices that I didn’t pull out of my bag.

I look forward to what Joseph will find. I’m sure he’ll be talking about this for months.

December 19, 2020 9PM Angelica Noah

Angelica and Noah,

In the regular audio above, you’ll hear the reverse spirit box, what I heard in real time with a “rewind by 5 seconds” after repeating what I heard.

As for the SBox, I found several pieces that could be notable and left a side note along those that are. This is not an all inclusive list, so I’m going to encourage you to go through the recording for yourselves.

  • 10:01 “Fourth Tackle” Still near Big John’s Tavern that was named after John Cannady, Linebacker for the 1947 New York Giants
  • 16:58 “double” this is the second spirit box that picked up this term. See list below.
  • 22:56 “critical”
  • 23:01 “patience”
  • 28:04 “30-30-30”
  • 39:24 “look to see…I’m surviving” (two voices)
  • 39:36 “check it out”
  • 45:23 “November”
  • 50:51 “trade” I dove into Lodge Alley’s history a bit more. I found an Alexander Gillon (see page 21) that did some trading in Charleston and in France, he lived in Lodge Alley, but also owned 38 State street just around the corner of the exit. Just interesting.
  • 1:13:21 “77”
  • 1:14:30 “just tell me how much it’s gonna cost” Anne Bonny’s father bailed her out of jail once she was tried for piracy and set for hanging.
  • 1:18:24 “court” Again, the Anne Bonny and Mary Read trial on November 28, 1720

Below, you’ll find a few terms/phrases that were relevant to our tour and left notes.

At the top of this page, you’ll find more about the equipment and apps that I use regularly with some affiliate links on where to purchase if you’re interested. I highly recommend the SBox spirit box by Ghost Stop, the same one you used on my tour. You’ll also find the podcast and where to leave reviews. Trip Advisor could use some more reviews and it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks again for hanging out with me last night and Merry Christmas!

December 17, 2020 9PM Faith Nathan

Faith, Isabella and Nathan,

In the regular audio, you’ll hear the reverse spirit box, what I hear in real time, with a “rewind by 5 seconds” immediately after.

You have two SBox spirit box recordings, I have separated the markers for easy finds:

  • Part 1
  • 00:04 “Scotland”
  • 4:13 “comes back for his bride”
  • 10:44 “luxurious”
  • 10:46 “we have questions”
  • 10:50 “fifties” Big John’s Tavern opened in 1955.
  • 12:34 “like a movie” This is what I call a disembodied voice. It doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the radio chatter.
  • Part 2
  • 00:03 “bouncing off the walls” The bullet hole in Big John’s.
  • 6:12 “tricks”
  • 13:56 “that’s it”
  • 24:14 “more problems”
  • 28:18 (odd noises)
  • 28:49 “child in the hospital” Eliza lost an infant child.
  • 1:04:21 “ponies”
  • 1:05:02 “mixed up”
  • 1:06:41 “got canceled” Anne Bonny and Mary Read’s hanging.
  • 1:06:59 “but it’s your curiosity”

Below, I left some notes and links for you guys to further verify our findings. I’m very excited about “Washington” and “Save my child” and the disembodied “like a movie”. This is what we were after and were successful in doing so. Great job!! Check out November 13’s data for more about George Washington.

IN your regular audio, you’ll hear my reverse spirit box, I’ll repeat what I hear in real time then say “rewind by 5 seconds” for you to verify.

In your SBox recording, I found the following markers. This is not an all inclusive list and my hope is that you’ll go through the entire recording and email me any extra findings.

  • 11:34 “thank you”
  • 17:37 “in Georgia”
  • 18:06 “don’t take our word for it”
  • 30:36 “very long”
  • 30:38 “had the return”
  • 36:03 “my wife”
  • 36:18 “court decides…doing”
  • 43:30 “they love him”. Could be a direct answer to the character of Eliza’s father.
  • 56:33 “a countdown”
  • 57:03 “nonsense”
  • 1:16:05 “cry” right around the time I told you the story of Sue Howard Hardy and her stillborn child.
  • 1:22:48 “so excited”

As you can see from both the 7PM tour and yours, there wasn’t much coming out of the digital spirit box word list.

Without any true links to the words/phrases, feel free to check out these links to show you more detail of the stories you heard last night:

https://youtu.be/PXtk_bEMIjI This is your thermal imaging video. My apologies for just a link, YouTube has been giving me a little trouble lately.

First off, a very HAPPY birthday to Paul, who didn’t tell us it was his birthday until the ghost hunt was over.

In your regular audio above, you’ll hear what I caught in real time from the reverse spirit box with a “rewind by 5 seconds” immediately after.

In your SBox spirit box recording, I found the following markers. This isn’t all of them, this was just me scanning through our locations. Feel free to scan for more and email/text me the results you find.

  • 17:50 “could they be more different”
  • 18:46 “face to face”
  • 32:14 “through your past”
  • 33:11 “large or small”
  • 40:19 “the Heisman”
  • 41:50 “match” The PInckney mansion did burn in the Great Fire of 1861.
  • 58:59 “resident” talking about the residents in Lodge Alley.
  • 59:20 “thirsty”
  • 1:05:14 “bottom”
  • 1:06:20 “saxophone”
  • 1:12:20 “wrong way” we would’ve been exiting Philadelphia Alley.
  • 1:21:43 “looking for”
  • 1:25:11 “ready to go”

In your pictures, you’ll see where I lightened one picture in particular trying to make out some details near the Powder Magazine. I couldn’t remember if someone was wearing a white shawl or coat last night, but Lauren texted me this morning confirming that Kate was wearing white.

I did not find any strange anomalies in your thermal imaging video.

AT the top of the page, you’ll find the apps/devices used on the ghost hunt, where to find my books locally, as well as where to leave reviews. You guys all did a great job and hope you’ll send more ghost hunters my way!

Click here to view the photos taken during your ghost hunt. Don’t forget to like/follow the Stories in the Cemetery Facebook page to see future evidence.

https://youtu.be/T-Z2ny1OQqE Apologies, you’re video would not embed onto my website. Please visit the link to go to my youtube channel and view it from there. It’s labeled with the date/time along with the names of those who booked the ghost hunt.

IN your regular audio above, you’ll hear all the terms I heard in real time then a “rewind by 5 seconds” audio marker for you to verify.

Here are a few markers I found in the recordable spirit box. It’s not an all inclusive list. I couldn’t find the “Benji” that was heard in real time near Lodge Alley, but here’s the link on why I got so excited: Page 19 for residents.

  • 00:08 “George” the name of Eliza’s infant son.
  • 16:21 “nobody’s paying attention”
  • 16:44 “rudolph the red-nosed”
  • 34:29 “she’s very good at…”
  • 39:18 “famous…military”
  • 43:41 “in the church”
  • 46:50 “we were young”
  • 1:03:20 “now we have something”
  • 1:26:35 “a young person”
  • 1:40:58 “seems like it’s been…”
  • 1:41:28 “suffer”

I left plenty of notes/links in the digital spirit box word list below.

At the top of the page, you’ll find where to find my books locally, where to leave reviews and links about the apps and tools used on my tours. This was an interesting ghost hunt for sure, with Eliza’s infant son, George being the focus.

Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to me about any extra evidence you find, my contact info is at the top of the page.

December 10, 9PM Douglas

Doug, Barbara and Dan,

In the regular audio above, you’ll hear me repeat what I heard in real time, then say “rewind by 5 seconds” for you to verify.

The spirit box gave me the following terms/phrases. This is not an all inclusive list, so feel free to go through the entire recording:

  • 18:52 “88” This is the number of Frank Liebel who played with Big John Cannady in 1947. This isn’t the first time clues to Frank have come through.
  • 19:09 “the greatest of all”
  • 20:14 “all of those years”
  • 31:58 “John”
  • 39:25 “business suit”
  • 49:49 “December 10” If anyone asked when Eliza’s birthday was, it was December 22. Ironically, Eliza married Charles at the age of 22.
  • 1:13:16 “death problem” We were near the Powder Magazine talking about Anne Bonny at this time.
  • 1:20:30 “lost”
  • 1:32:40 “refuse”. This would’ve been a few minutes after we discovered the gate was locked in Philadelphia Alley.

I found no strange anomalies in the thermal imaging video when scanning through it.

I left plenty of notes/links in the digital word list below. I found the term “palatine” very interesting for sure.

You guys did great with the equipmet, the video was easy to watch thanks to Dan’s steady hand. At the top of this page, you’ll find where to leave reviews, the SITC podcast and the tools and apps I use on my tours. You guys were great company and I’m glad to have met all of you.

December 6, 7PM Kelly

Allison, Kelly and Willie,

In your regular audio above, you’ll hear my audio markers for what I heard in real time from the reverse spirit box.

In the SBox spirit box, here are a few markers that I found. It’s not an all inclusive list, so I urge you to go through it more thoroughly:

  • 00:01 “for the love of Christ”
  • 26:57 “I was a baby Christian”
  • 34:54 “light flashing”
  • 34:56 “move together” Remember, I told you about the light on the back of the 5 Church REstaurant that will often move in sync with the EMF meter.
  • 36:49 “in the same boat”
  • 37:37 “the character”
  • 59:49 “left, right”
  • 1:02:46 “submission”
  • 1:09:36 “go on like this”
  • 1:29:43 “have to be willing”
  • 1:29:55 “Jack” This could be related to “Calico Jack” that Anne Bonny fell in love with.
  • 1:34:14 “around the storms”

I looked into the black “smudge” you saw in the thermal imaging camera. It’s just the different types of ground material in the Pinckney Mansion site. There’s gravel and mud in there, so the temperatures will fluctuate based on those two types of material. Mud will always be cooler than gravel, so, what you saw was the mud being colder than anything else in the screen during those few seconds. Good catch, though.

There wasn’t much evidence in the digital spirit box word list, but there was a Chris that lived in Lodge Alley in 1809. I left the link below for you to verify.

At the top of this page, you’ll find where to leave reviews, where to send extra evidence you find, and the devices/apps used on my tours, as well as the SITC podcast.

December 5, 9PM Janet

Janet and Jolee,

In the regular audio, you’ll hear all the stories I told throughout the night, as well as audio markers where I repeat what I heard from the reverse spirit box, then say “rewind by 5 seconds”.

Some interesting finds in your SBox audio above. It seems there was a theme with numbers. This is not an all inclusive list, so be sure to go through the entire recording and write down all that you hear.

  • 00:10 “you gotta imagine”
  • 8:53 “light-headed” Near Big John’s Tavern, where customers claim to not feel well if they’re sitting in the front of the bar.
  • 15:14 “red, red” YES!! A direct answer to “what color is the barn?”
  • 16:04 “don’t you see”
  • 22:48 “1-9-4-7” Even though this was probably a phone number, it’s not a coincidence that Big John Cannady played for the 1947 New York Giants.
  • 1:13:29 “Eighty-four” Anne Bonny, female pirate, lived to be 84 years old.
  • 1:14:05 “it teaches you”
  • 1:15:03 “along the way”
  • 1:17:35 “jail cell” Anne Bonny and Mary Read, both female pirates were held until their trial on November 28, 1720.

I’m very excited about the numbers above. Numbers during my tours are very significant, because they can be proven to the locations/stories from the tour.

I didn’t find any anomalies in the video when scanning.

You’ll find notes/links in the relative terms from the digital spirit box word list below.

At the top of this page, you’ll find the SITC podcast, where to send extra evidence you find, where to leave reviews as well as which devices/apps I use on my tours.

December 5, 7PM Erica Sandra

Parties of Erica and Sandra,

First off, happy birthday to Jennifer!

In your regular audio, you’ll hear me repeat what I heard in real time from the reverse spirit box, then say “rewind by 5 seconds”. These are your audio markers.

In your SBox spirit box recording above, I found the following markers. This is not an all inclusive list.

  • 00:05 “all day”
  • 11:58 “innocent” (song lyrics)
  • 24:03 “endless experience”
  • 32:51 “future so bright”
  • 33:01 “hello”
  • 35:27 “I’m studying this book”
  • 1:13:38 “doctor” We were near Philadelphia Alley with the story of The Whistling Doctor.
  • 1:14:28 “old friends” still relatable to Philadelphia Alley.
  • 1:35:35 (female laughter) Granted, I usually don’t pay attention to gender in these messages, but we were at The Powder Magazine with the story of Anne Bonny, female pirate.

I’m excited about the Philadelphia Alley terms above and the notes from the list below are also interesting. Often, I find that there are relatable terms to what is happening on the tour.

At the top of the page, you’ll find the SITC podcast, links to the devices and apps used, as well as where to leave reviews. You all did a fantastic job with the equipment and being ready to listen/watch for spirit activity with your specific devices. It was my pleasure to show you around Charleston on such a chilly night!
