Regular Audio
SBox spirit box Audio

Click here to view all 46 photos taken during your ghost hunt.

In the regular audio, you’ll hear the stories over again for reference along with any EVPs that may show up. These are voices we cannot hear with our own ears.

In the SBox spirit box audio, I found the following terms. Keep in mind, I do not go through this entire recording as to not take away the fun of you discovering more.

  • 0:26 “good guy”
  • 8:56 “variety”
  • 19:23 “now I am a person”
  • 36:42 “power”
  • 41:52 “so we find”
  • 43:02 “invincible”
  • 43:10 “get him away from me”
  • 50:47 “5-2” Big John Cannady from Big John’s Tavern (where we started) had a jersey number of 52.
  • 1:14:24 “can’t bring their families”
  • 1:21:48 “as I remember”
  • 1:35:42 “America first”
  • 1:43:08 “four pairs” I do not find it ironic that there were literally four pairs of your group, for a total of 8 people in your party.

Unfortunately, your thermal imaging video was cut short at 16 minutes and 20 seconds. I’ve only seen this happen one other time where the video acted like it was recording all night, but only gave a portion of the video. I tested the thermal imaging camera this morning and it recorded and played back just fine. Take that for what it’s worth, but something did not want to be seen.

I did not find any anomalies in the pictures taken. There was one that was questionable, but it’s exactly that; questionable.

Below, you’ll find the digital spirit box word list with links and notes as to why the bolded terms were relevant to either a person in Charleston history, the location or something going on with our group.

At the top of the page, you’ll find the SITC podcast of my own investigations (more episodes coming starting in September), where to leave reviews and the names/links of the devices and apps I use on a regular basis in the event you want to explore locations around your hometown.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me when you find more evidence in your data. I’m more than happy to take a look.

Regular Audio
SBox spirit box Audio

In your regular audio above, you’ll hear the stories over again for reference as you go through your data, and listen close for any EVPs that may have come through.

In your SBox spirit box recording, I found the following terms. I want to note here that the “sweeping” of stations is awfully slow in this recording which is uncanny for this device. It’s slower than normal, check other tours’ data below to see what I mean. This made my initial scan of this recording awfully thin for phrases/terms. I’ll be interested to hear from you about what you discover.

  • 7:38 “person”
  • 14:41 “celebrate the Americans”
  • 27:16 “2-2” Eliza Pinckney was 22 when she married Charles. Also, of note, she was born in 1722.
  • 43:38 “fit right in”
  • 45:34 “2-5”
  • 1:03:39 “enthusiastic about”
  • 1:26:40 “repair headaches” there’s another reference to Dr. Ladd and his medicines again.
  • 1:49:58 “ambush” this one is fuzzy, but “ambush” makes sense of the British fleet invading Calico Jack’s shitp, the Kingston, where all pirates were captured, tried by Chief Justice Nicholas Lawes, and eventually hung for piracy, save for Anne Bonny and Mary Read. (see links below)

I found no anomalies upon scanning your thermal imaging video.

Below, you’ll find the digital spirit box word list along with notes and links to further your research.

Notes: The digital spirit box (cell phone app) battery drained down to 15% and had to attach the backup battery support. The SBox recording scan was slower than normal, even though the setting was at 1, the slowest scan making the list above seem smaller than average lists. Consecutive words from the digital spirit box list happened twice, an abnormality based on the averages of other ghost hunts.

At the top of this page, you’ll find the SITC podcast (I spoke of the Flight 93 investigation), where to leave reviews, as well as my books. For my written work, you can also click the “My Published Books” tab at the very top of the page.

Spirit Box Faraday Method from Pinckney Mansion Site

Lindsy, Christa and Buzz,

Thanks again for hanging out with me last night and sharing your stories, I’ll be interested in hearing more about this Kenneth Neil Doll.

In your regular audio above, you’ll hear all the stories over again for reference along with any EVPs that might come through.

In the SBox spirit box full recording, I found the following terms. Keep in mind, I don’t take away the fun of you discovering terms/phrases by going through the whole thing:

  • 6:50 “merchants”
  • 13:41 “she can choose”
  • 22:03 “children”
  • 22:59 “nephew might be smarter” Remember that it was Eliza’s son and nephew who were signers of our Constitution.
  • 30:28 “realization”
  • 38:39 “believers”
46:36 “Month of May” granted, we are in the month of May, but Eliza’s death date was in May along with her wedding date.
  • 54:32 “this is freedom”
  • 1:17:31 “push back”
  • 1:17:51 “knees” Dr. Joseph Brown Ladd was shot in the kneecap by his opponent, Ralph Isaacs in a duel in Dueler’s Alley.
  • 1:27:30 “truth”
  • 1:28:49 “help you”
  • 1:45:16 “it’s a talking point…Nick” Yes, I know my name is Nick, but based on the location (the Powder Magazine), this could be a reference to Chief Justice Nicholas Lawes that tried and hung the crew of Calico Jack.

Although I didn’t find any disembodied voices in the Faraday recordings of the second SBox, I left you the recording above from the Pinckney Mansion site so you can see/hear how this method works. Thank you for allowing me to run a new experiment during your ghost hunt.

I found no anomalies while skimming through your thermal imaging video. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any findings here.

Below, you’ll find the digital spirit box word list with explanations, links and notes as to why they were relevant during your ghost hunt.

At the very top of this page, you’ll find my investigations in the SITC podcast, where to leave reviews along with all the devices and apps I use on a regular basis. Reach out with any questions via email or text.

Parties of Breanna, Courtney and Dustin,

In your regular audio, which for your particular tour is super important, you’ll hear all the activity that came out of the SB7 spirit box along with the stories I told for reference as you go through your data. There was so much heard through the SB7 spirit box, but the pieces I remember were “70” (the age of Eliza at her death), “George” (from other clues was George Washington, not her son or father) and “red” (what color is the barn?).

In the SBox spirit box recording, I found the following terms. Keep in mind, I go through this randomly so you can discover more. The best practice for going through recordings like this is to literally write down everything you hear and look for clues and/or sentences within the list.

  • 0:13 “western time”
  • 8:26 “not fair”
  • 14:12 “24 hours” There was no number “24” among Big John’s teammates.
  • 14:30 “lives back”
  • 20:28 “93” Eliza Lucas Pinckney died in 1793.
  • 20:48 “heart and soul” What color is the barn? Hearts are red.
  • 36:26 “great time to buy gas” See “smell it” below
  • 45:49 “your own”
  • 52:12 “that is not a road”
  • 1:00:08 “protect yourself”
  • 1:09:26 “strong”
  • 1:17:06 “we’re the first” A stretch, but I really wanted to give Amy the Lodge Alley document since she uses this alley often for pictures. The names I told you I often hear while in this alley, Benjamin and John, are folks who would’ve been living in Lodge Alley during the early days of residency here.
  • 1:17:48 “decisions have to be made”
  • 1:31:31 “explain”
1:47:15 “sharp dressed man” (song lyric) Calico Jack!
  • 1:47:34 “and will fight” Still relating this to Anne Bonny’s story.
  • 1:53:21 “spend some time with you”

I found no strange anomalies in the photos taken or in the thermal imaging video.

Below, you’ll find the digital spirit box word list with explanations, links and notes as to why these terms were relevant.

This was an excellent ghost hunt. I’m excited about the amount of “George’s” heard along with Washington. The great thing about this group was you all worked together and the SB-7 team did an amazing job; this isn’t the easiest device to listen to as you all will see when you go through the SBox recording. Thank you all for an amazing time; as you can see by the recordings, I lost track of time which is always a good thing. You have about 6 hours of audio/video to go through and countless hours of reading through the links. Have fun with this, this is what ghost hunting is truly about; finding the clues that are relevant.

Parties of Michelle, Susan and Vesella,

In the regular audio above, you’ll have reference to the stories over again as you go through your data.

In the SBox spirit box recording above, here are a few phrases/terms I found. I do not go through this entire recording so you can discover more. I also want to note that “2-2-5” was heard. Eliza was 22 and a half when she married Charles Pinckney on May 25, 1744; we could also look at the “5” as May here.

  • 0:02 “one can be sure”
  • 9:25 “two strikes”
  • 14:29 “now isn’t the time”
  • 27:50 “above sea level”
  • 28:20 “Spanish or Russian”
  • 33:28 “make sure you get”
  • 38:34 “in the way”
  • 46:09 “freedom”
  • 52:04 “93-5” Eliza Pinckney was 70 when she died in May of 1793. Remember that Europeans usually put the year before the month.
  • 1:00:19 “ended up coming across”
  • 1:08:06 “hello”
  • 1:26:42 “profit”
  • 1:35:21 “lowest… in history”

In the almost 500 pictures taken, I found nothing out of the ordinary. There were quite a few that were questionable, but nothing that I can call legitimate evidence. You’ll see my “lightened” pictures in the album I created for this ghost hunt on Facebook. This way, you can see what was catching my eye. As for the “orange” lights in the pictures towards the end of the tour, that is probably from the camera; at times, it’ll put on a light flash to help with lighting.

I found no strange anomalies or glitches in the thermal imaging video when skimming through it. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me in the event you catch something I didn’t

Below, you’ll find the digital spirit box word list with explanations and links. Without reviewing the entire list until this morning, I was surprised to see so many relevant terms in relation to each other. In essence, they seem like vague terms individually, but together there are small themes around indigo crops and just pirates in general.

Overall, I’m most excited about the numbers captured. They seem to be the most definitive answers received. This is the first investigation of the month, so in the future, your data will always be at the bottom of the page since I always put the newest data at the top.

05/01/2021 – 21:12: DELIVERY (.47) Only one block away from the Big Red Barn. “What’s inside the barn?” Horses that once delivered milk and eggs to the residents of Charleston.
05/01/2021 – 21:16: LIKEWISE (.52)
05/01/2021 – 21:16: FARMERS (.48)

05/01/2021 – 21:32: RABBIT (.53)
05/01/2021 – 21:32: FARMERS (.61)Whenever a term/phrase comes up twice, I tend to take a second look. For example, the term “October” doesn’t mean anything to Eliza Pinckney, but Charles was born in October and died in October, so therefore, showing up twice gives us that clue it’s Charles we’re talking to. With “farmers” coming up twice here, I tend to think of the crop of indigo and how it technically made the Pinckney family farmers, the word “harvest” is also among your word list.
05/01/2021 – 21:33: ERASE (.49)

05/01/2021 – 21:50: YES (.5)
05/01/2021 – 21:51: DIAGNOSE (.47) somewhat of a stretch, but I did mention that Eliza Lucas Pinckney had breast cancer that we know of based on her medical records.

05/01/2021 – 21:54: LABOR (.56)

05/01/2021 – 22:10: RIGHT (.46)
05/01/2021 – 22:13: COLOR (.46) Another vague term, but Eliza’s blue dye from the indigo would color clothing.
05/01/2021 – 22:14: NOAH (.47)
05/01/2021 – 22:16: JEREMIAH (.46)
