Real Time Events based on Location:

Names of locations in Green are links to the original investigations conducted by Stories in the Cemetery and will hold extra resources of each location.

*My notebook was lost at the end of the investigation. The notes below are to the best of my recollection of relevant events that occurred.

Big John’s Tavern/Big Red Barn: No activity recorded.

Pinckney Mansion Site: The number “four” was heard giving us the number of children by Eliza Lucas and Charles Pinckney. “hotspot” was also heard giving us a clue to the term “fire” found in the SBox recording above. Several EMF spikes from the Mel Meter ranging from 2.6mG to 7.0mG (milligauss).

Philadelphia Alley: No activity recorded.

Powder Magazine: No relevant events recollected while at this site.

Washington Square: A minimum of 12-15 spikes of EMF recorded by the Mel Meter ranging from 2.5mG to 17mG. The month, “October” was heard in real time giving us the death month of Henry Timrod’s son, Willie; he was nine months old.

Real Time Events based on Location :

Names of locations in Green are links to the original investigations conducted by Stories in the Cemetery and will hold extra resources of each location.

Big Red Barn/Big John’s Tavern: No activity recorded.

Pinckney Mansion Site: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave readings of 7.0mG (milligauss), 8.0mG, 16.4mG, 17mG, and 24mG.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “five”, “Charles” (ties to the “October” discovered on the digital word list), “Elijah”, “eighty-nine”, “thirty”, “church”, “I will die for you”, “January 6th”, “seven oh three”

Philadelphia Alley: On the way to this location the phrase “I don’t want you to have to go” was heard.

Powder Magazine: Terms heard on spirit boxes: “get out”, “I’m sorry”, “three hundred thousand”, “Willie” and “Michael” (unknowing of our next location, these two terms match the next site where we would discuss Henry Timrod, his son Willie, while next to St. Michael’s Church), “outcast”, “Luther”, “goodbye”, “he had to die”.

Washington Square: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave readings of 3.5mG, 5.0mG, 8.5mG, and 10.3mG.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “where does it come from”, “hundred years”, “John”, “Carol”, “be a little more tender”, “what the hell”, “privacy”, “Emily” (see “luna” in the digital word list above), “Patrick”, “hospitalization”, “doctor”, “two girls”, “too many”.

Looking at this set of terms as a whole, phrases like “be a little more tender”, “privacy”, and “too many” stand out with a possible emotion of Timrod being a bit upset that there were so many of us there asking questions. Likely and possible given the nature of Timrod while alive.

SBox Spirit Box Audio

These are the terms/phrases I discovered during my spot check of the SBox spirit box audio. Those that are noteworthy have an explanation and/or links in their description. Others are there to help you learn what to listen for as you go through this type of audio.

  • 0:43 “seventy” Pinckney Mansion site bleed over…Eliza Lucas was 70 years old when she passed away in 1793.

  • 15:48 “warehouse”
  • 20:37 “never forget”
  • 25:54 “get lost”

  • 1:25:28 “your life”
  • 1:32:04 “Nick” No defining clue, but this name is relevant to the Powder Magazine area in one of three ways. 1. My name is Nick and it’s not uncommon to see/hear my name around the locations I commonly investigate. 2. The judge that tried Anne Bonny and Mary Read for piracy was Nicholas Lawes. 3. The Nicholas Trott House is on the other side of the Powder Magazine; he was the first Chief Justice of the United States.
  • 1:41:16 “return”
  • 1:50:33 “equation”
  • 1:56:25 “we thought he was a”

Thermal Imaging Video

No anomalies discovered in the spot check of the thermal imaging video. This video can and should also be used as an EVP Audio.

Infrared Lighting Video

Marker 1:10:51 to 1:10:52, Washington Square. Anomaly just left of dead center of video. Moves from Left to Right, then dissipates, reappears, moves from right to left, then disappears. Testing this against the next car that passed the park proves that this was indeed an anomaly and not a light flare from passing vehicles. Screenshot above has been lightened 1x to show clarity.

This video can and should also be used as an EVP Audio.

Big Red Barn/Big John’s Tavern: The word “windows” was heard on a spirit box.

Pinckney Mansion Site: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave spikes of 3.7mG (milligauss), 4.9mG, 5.0mG, 8.7mG and 10.3mG.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “baby”, “go on”, “drop”, “fourteen” (this is the number of years that Eliza and Charles were married; 1744-58), “tiny dancer”, “rose”, “just want you to know”, “forty-six”.

Philadelphia Alley: Terms heard on spirit boxes: “Spanish”, “hall of fame”, “why can’t we be friends”, “word”, “four oh one”, “Russell”.

Powder Magazine: Small spike of 2.5mG discovered on the Mel Meter.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “John” (this could be a relevance to John Calhoun, buried on the other side of the wall OR to John “Calico Jack” Rackham, Anne Bonny’s lover/beau), “legend”, “Rose” (relevant to the home that Dr. Ladd lived in at 59 Church Street, aka, the Thomas Rose House), “Gloria”, “sixty”, “walls” (Cumberland Street is where the original Charlestown Wall once stood), “industry”, “law” (see “attorney at law’ discovered in the SBox findings).

The Onvoy gave the following letters “RIP” or “RI” relevant to Ralph Isaacs/Rhode Island clues to Dr. Ladd’s story in Philadelphia Alley. “MAIXD” was also found, with an interference of “X”, we have the word “maid”.

Washington Square: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave spikes of 3.6mG, 5.3mG, 7mG, 12mG.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “Matthew 19”, “Timothy” (a bit of stretch, but we were discussing Henry Timrod), “Matt”, “one twenty one”, “Billie” (a close phonetic to Henry’s son, Willie), “Angel”, “seventy”, “Michael” (we were close to St. Michael’s Church, this is commonly heard/seen here), “get up next to you”, “dog”, “home”, “Smokey”.

EVP Audio

This first audio contains all the histories we discussed during your investigation along with any EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) that may have slipped through.

SBox Spirit Box Audio

These are the terms/phrases I discovered during my spot check of the SBox spirit box audio. Those that are noteworthy have an explanation and/or links in their description. Others are there to help you learn what to listen for as you go through this type of audio.

  • 0:17 “a pilot”

Real Time Events based on Location :

Names of locations in Green are links to the original investigations conducted by Stories in the Cemetery and will hold extra resources of each location.

Big Red Barn/Big John’s Tavern: A small spike of 2.1mG (milligauss) discovered on the EMF function of the Mel Meter. The phrase “football team” was heard on the SBox; vague, but we were still discussing Big John Cannady of the 1947 New York Giants.

Pinckney Mansion Site: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave spikes of 2.5mG and 5.2mG.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “five”, “seventy-five”, “my prayers were answered”, “take it easy”, and “eleven” (matched up with the “December” on the digital word list, and we have the date of the Great Fire of 1861; December 11th).

Philadelphia Alley: Not a typical location for EMF readings, but readings of 4.3mG, 5.9mG and 12.4mG were discovered here. This would explain the anomaly found in the photograph above.

Powder Magazine: Terms heard on spirit boxes: “Parker”, “Phil” (the lot we researched is part of St. Philip’s Church property).

Washington Square: The EMF function of the Mel Meter gave readings of 7.4mG, 12.8mG. The REM function gave several Blue and Yellow readings indicating possible motion near the user.

Terms heard on spirit boxes: “No” (when asking a direct question), “live and die”, “disgusting”.
