Locations
Locations visited during your paranormal investigation are up to the sole discretion of your Lead Investigator based on time spent investigating at each location, weather conditions, and foot traffic/events around the city.
All locations visited will be outdoors, please dress appropriately for our weather.

The Oldest Tavern in Charleston
Meetup location to discuss the equipment and the football player who still haunts his old tavern.
Pinckney Mansion Site
Investigate this site for the mother to one of the signers of The Constitution.

Sounds of a Jovial Doctor
An alley where a doctor, killed in a duel, is said to be heard whistling, happy that his fiancée is moving to Charleston so they can be wed.
Powder Magazine
Ghosts of pirates still linger around this familiar building built in 1713, inside the Golden Age of Piracy.

Live EVP Session
This murder mystery still hasn’t been solved to this day. Hear her tale as we listen for live electronic voice phenomenon through a unique voice recorder.
(Sunday through Thursday investigations with minimal windy weather)
The Estes Method
End your investigation with a live, controlled Estes Method session where one or two ghost hunters will be blindfolded while listening to spirit boxes. Another ghost hunter will contribute to the experiment while undergoing a virtual reality experiment for visual context.
This experiment is an attempt to make direct contact with Laureate of the Confederacy, Henry Timrod and has proven to be 35-45% accurate.
Full investigation team must be a minimum of four ghost hunters (among all parties) for this to take place (and be a controlled experiment).

More than just stories —Review left by David, August, 2024
Very cool experience! Different than most other ghost tours or walks that you go on since you actually get to use the equipment you see being used in a lot of ghost hunting TV shows.
Nick did an awesome job explaining how to use everything and telling the history and paranormal aspects of each location.
If you’re tired of doing the same tours and hearing the same stories over and over again this is definitely the way to go

My boyfriend and I brought his kids on August 24th. The hands on experience was exactly what we were looking for especially with teens who have never been on a ghost tour let alone ghost hunting with interactive tools that everyone had access to. Nick is an amazing guide and kept everyone’s attention with great historic stories. He is very thorough with explaining how to use every piece of equipment and how every bit of information could be useful to either his investigation or possibly your own… Getting to go back over all of our activity the next morning just added to the experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Nick was an amazing guide through the city and had all the fun ghost hunting gadgets for us to use. This tour is definitely for those who want a genuine paranormal investigation experience in a city where every street has a story. You will get all the data you collected once it is compiled for you after your tour. The experience is best when you have more people in the group so you can use all the equipment.

Available by request and subject to available dates. This is a more intense investigation exploring the different methods of ITC devices and spirit boxes. You will also participate in an ESTES Method session with Sensory Deprivation; blindfolds and noise cancelling headphones provided.
Visit the Spirit Box Boot Camp page to learn more.
Private Investigation Tours
We also provide private tours. Minimum number of investigators varies based on seasonality and day of the week. Use the “Let’s Go Ghost Hunting” Chat box below to learn more about booking a private tour.
Location Investigations
Do you own a business in the Charleston area that has had paranormal events? I’d love to hear from you and walk you through a full investigation. Email me at storiesinthecemetery@gmail.com. You’ll find that our research isn’t full of myths and legends, but rather discovers (and debunks) the explanation behind the events.
